Organization
Divisions. DIADICA Proyectos e Ingeniería S.A.S. is a civil engineering firm organized in two divisions. DIADICA Infrastructure provides structural consulting, geotechnics, pavements, BIM coordination and construction management. DIADICA Synthetic Core is the research division, where the computational models and the CIVILTech software tools applied in the firm's projects are developed.
Training. DIADICA Academy, part of the Infrastructure division, teaches courses on the CYPE Ingenieros structural suite and on Python applied to civil engineering.
Design framework. Designs are based on Law 400 of 1997 and NSR-10, and are audited against ACI 318 for concrete and AISC 360 and 341 for steel. Bridges are designed under CCP-14 and audited against the AASHTO LRFD specifications.
Experience. The firm has taken part in consulting and construction projects totaling more than 500,000 m² in several cities and municipalities of Colombia.
Founding Partner
Oscar Darío Moreno Borja
Project Manager
Research. His work applies computational mechanics and physics-informed machine learning to problems that design codes treat in simplified form: reliability of deep foundations, soil-structure interaction, site response and surrogate models. It is carried out in the MSc in Engineering Sciences at Universidad EAFIT and at DIADICA Synthetic Core, with in-house Python code.
Background. He has practiced as a civil engineer since 2008, with eighteen years of experience designing structures and foundations under NSR-10, and founded DIADICA in 2016. Before that he worked in structural design at the firm Consultoría Estructural and as a contractor for VIVA, the Antioquia Housing Agency, on the Educational Parks program. In a personal capacity he advised the First Urban Curatorship of Medellín (2017–2019) and of Bello (2022–2025) on the structural review of building permits.
